Prof. Kavan Rana
Mr. Kavan Rana holds a Master’s degree in Commerce and is also a CA Finalist. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the fields of Finance, Accounting, Costing, and Taxation.
Before stepping into full-time academia, Mr. Rana built a solid professional foundation through impactful roles — including his work as a Compliance Officer at the prestigious Talati & Talati CA Firm, and as an Account Executive at the Rural Development Society, a unit of the Alembic Group, where he was responsible for taxation, banking coordination, and statutory compliances.
Alongside his industry experience, he has also made significant academic contributions. For over seven years, he has served as a Visiting Faculty at the Centre for Lifelong Learning & Education, M.S. University of Baroda, teaching a wide range of subjects including Income Tax, Accounts, and Inventory Management. He has also taught at various government institutions and continues to mentor students with great dedication.
Currently, he serves as the Head of Department at S.K. Patel Institute, where he plays a key role in guiding and inspiring the next generation of professionals.
He has also presented research papers on Accounting and Income Tax at national conferences and remains deeply involved in enhancing finance education.
